Relais Cavalcanti Guest House - Floransa

The room was decorated lovely, the marble bathroom was a good size. They did not serve breakfast but they had a lovely dining room with a microwave, oven, small hob. They provided tea, coffee, juice, fruit, biscuits, cakes, that you could just come in and help yourself to any time. The hotel was located very central, moments from the cathedral church (Duomo). There was a little fridge in the room which you could fill with whatever you need. Very nice place to stay in Florence.

It was very noisy at night, with the restaurants right below your windows. This isnt anything to do with the hotel though, it is just unfortunate.

Relais Cavalcanti is an amazing friendly hotel in the heart of Florenze.The rooms are very clean, you fell like at home. Only just in a few minutes you can reach the ponte vecchio, uffizi. Breakfast is not included, but you could find in the kitchen each day some sweet, or you could do coffee. When you would like to stay a romantic weekend in firenze, its very nice to stay at this hotel.

It's location was very central to all the important things to see in Florence.

It is not a hotel,does not have a hotel atmosphere.But I knew that before I went.They need to get a proper Iron,the one they offered me to prepare my clothes for the wedding I was attending was abysmal.In other respects the information they give regarding their residence is very accurate and honest.

Location. It was clean and quiet. The owners were very nice and very helpful.

The office staff was only available in person, from 9 am to 1 pm daily.

Location, location, location! Easy walk to all the major attractions and perfectly located for shopping and dining. The guest house is located on a pedestrian street so no traffic noise but there was noise from restaurants etc. below. The double glazing reduced this noise down considerably and sleeping was no problem with the air con on. Our room was large and nicely furnished. There was free WiFi but it didn't really work so well in our room, being furthest from reception. Having said that there was a comfortable lounge to sit in to read emails etc. There was no breakfast available but we were very happy to organise our own in the lovely dining room with kitchenette. Couldn't recommend this accommodation more highly.

The B&B was clean, attractive and nicely remodeled. The facility had a friendly family-oriented air. Location is excellent. Would recommend for active, physically fit travelers on a budget not looking for full service facility.

Access was somewhat difficult with a flight of twenty+ stairs before reaching the lift. Staff is only present for a few hours per day.

The location was great and convenient to all the sights. We were also very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel.

The initial walk up the steps after a long journey but worth the walk upon entering the apartment.

Centrally located and close to all museums/sites. Only a 15 min walk from the station. Large room and king size comfortable bed with clean towels provided every day. Two double glazed windows kept all external noise out and the a/c worked well. The shared kitchen was well equipped and provided plenty of cakes, fruit, bread etc sufficient for breakfast and light lunches or tea all included in the price. Good shower and plenty of hot water. Excellent value for money in the superior double suite

Steps to negotiates to get to the Relais, but it is common in Italy.

This is a delightful small hotel with a perfect location in the heart of Florence. Upon our arrival it was obvious this inn is lovingly managed, so it's no wonder this little jewel is rated so highly by everyone thats stayed there.

The location of this place is amazing. It is within walking distance of everything from the accademia to the duomo to the palazzo michaelangelo. Close to train, we paid less then 10 euro for cab fair. This place is not a hotel or bed and breakfast (although they provide a kitchen area with coffee and goodies)...it's like renting an apartment. The staff recommendations for restaurants were fantastic. The bathroom was huge for Europe as was the room. The bed was comfy. The a/c worked really well too. I would absolutely recommend this place ad stay there again.

Perticularly appricieated the 24h open breakfast/snack bar. The room was tastefully decorated. Large walk in bathroom.

There were noisy renovations going on in the building. The street noise was loud at times, especially when the market was being set up or taken down. The casters on the wheeled containers make loud noise in the morning.

The hotel is just a block away from Piazza della Signoria, the location is perfect! Do not worry about how to spot the hotel, the instructions given are very helpful and that thing with the keys to the buidling, the elevator, the hotel and the room is not as confusing as it might seem with the first impression.

I think that it is highly overpriced, given the fact that the reception works only for a few hours a day, there is no breakfast included (although the kitchen is well equipped and there are always some cakes, coffee etc.) and the rooms are quite simple. On the other hand, this is Florence, high demand leads to high prices. About noise, although there are double windows, preventing noises to enter the building from the outside, the fact that there is no staff at night leaves you at the hands of noisy customers who might turn the kitchen into a bar at any time (some rooms are right next to the kitchen, so was ours).

The staff was very friendly and provided us with a detailed map of Firenze, along with their recommendations, upon check-in. The location was superb. Had no problems connecting with the wi-fi.

If you're carrying a bit of luggage, I would recommend a taxi from the main train station. Otherwise, it's a bit of a hike.
